Amazing Philippines

The Philippines, officially the Republic of the Philippines, is an archipelagic country in Southeast Asia. Situated in the western Pacific Ocean, it consists of about 7,641 islands that are broadly categorized under three main geographical divisions from north to south: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.



The rainy seasons starts in June and lasts till October. September and October are often the typhoon season in the Philippines. Although foreign visitors think that it is always summer in the Philippines, the Filipinos think and feel summer in April and May—the hottest months in the Philippines.



Jump to Philippines - The hill station of Baguio in the northern mountains of Luzon was selected as the summer capital of the Philippines during the American Occupation in the early 20th century. Its cool climate was a preferred alternative to the sweltering, humid summers in the de facto capital, Manila.
